As far back as anyone alive can remember, they were called the Sinners. Those in the secret society dedicated to Sin. Supporters of the great destructor. Now, they have surfaced again, taking their other, much much older name this time. "Cimerii", a name that had been long forgotten, associated with a far older evil. These were people who still had hope in the complete destruction of those who dared not believe. Obsessed with atonement and punishment to the infidels, the Cimerii set to the task of resurrecting a Summoner who they knew would be able to further their plans. A being whose name hadn't been spoken several hundereds of years. Amon.
There is always a price to pay when calling up such great power. Pulling Amon back from where he'd lay through the centuries would cause the Farplanes to be disrupted and end the peace of the deceased. A small price to pay from the Cimerii's standpoint. The spell needed would also have the Fayths, and the power of their Aeons, brought back to the world of the living. The magic used to keep the realm of the Farplanes from spilling out into the realm of the living would be completely shattered. The dead would live again and cities from Spira's time long past would rise.
But the resurrection of Amon would require an accomplice - on the inside. Someone who would surely aid their cause. Another summoner from the past. A more recent past... Until found, earthquakes and strange waves rock the inhabitants of the Farplanes and distress the fragile environment, causing strange reactions in the realm of the living..In the meantime the Cimerii are already at work causing chaos and searching for the spheres that are needed to complete the revival of the ultimate summon. One who was hidden back in Amon's age. One who can either obliterate Spira, or give them salvation for their sins. Who will get their hands on the Ultimate One and determine Spira's destiny? Cimerii? Gullwings? Villains? or Heroes? You could help determine Spira's fate..
